Therapeutic Approach

We are committed to the holistic development of our pupils and ensure that they have access to a wide range of therapeutic interventions. The purpose of an intervention is to address a barrier to learning or to enhance health, happiness and well-being, thereby enabling the child or young person to develop to the best of their ability.

Our therapeutic work is designed to unlock barriers to participation in education, so that all our children can achieve highly and can make the most of every opportunity we offer. Discrete therapeutic interventions at school are delivered by a highly skilled team of clinical staff, whose specialisms include occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology and play therapy.

These interventions sit alongside a classroom experience that integrates therapeutic approaches on a one-to-one, small- group and whole-class basis.
