The school day typically starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm from Monday to Thursday. The school closes slightly earlier, at 1:00pm on Fridays. 

All students are welcomed into the school by a pastoral member of the team and walked to their tutor room. 

Handovers from families are not encouraged at the school gate, and instead, we encourage contact to be made via email to the students' professional parental figure in the school or the school office. 

The school has an embedded morning and afternoon tutor program which links to the students' personal development program while covering topics which are headlining the news with opportunities lending its self opportunities to enrich curriculum coverage.

All students take part in a curriculum offer which is enriched and involves them being off-site for three afternoons or mornings a week. Two of these sessions are at Amegreen Centres Stable Futures provision, where the students and staff have a focus on personal development goals, working together as a team and giving everyone valuable opportunities to extend their skills when working as a team, communicating  and offering students the opportunity to extend their ability to interaction within the community. The  Paddock provision, which is an environment where students get to develop the knowledge taught in the classroom through practical activities . The third session involves students being off-site within the community to access  local facilities when covering the PE curriculum.
